This month Baskin Robbins Korea has released a very fun monthly flavor called “Dino Jelly” that received a bit more love vs others, they threw a whole “Dino Party” to celebrate it!
This new flavor is adorable, and the perfect way to kick off the warm weather that JUST started here in Seoul last week!
The featured flavor consists of “Fresh Cream” flavored ice cream mixed with Pineapple and Green Apple flavored ice cream~ final cute and yummy touch was to add tons of colorful fruit flavored dinosaur gummies into the mix!!!
How fun is that??
Unlike most monthly flavors that just quietly launch with maybe some new promotional art on the freezer or maybe a poster up on the wall, May’s new flavor included promotional decals on the outside and inside of most stores, paper craft kits, coloring pages, cakes, a new lego set gift, and decked out event promo with the BR truck crew.
They went all out this month ♥ Legit Dino Party!
Also, you have to check out the CF for Dino Jelly they released as well since its kinda awesome.
I almost feel bad eating the candy now…. almost!
I wish every month was this fun, I seriously eat this sort of stuff up as a consumer!! Cute new display added to the stores atm, you can make your own Dino paper toys of Mr. and Mrs. Dino with the sheets provided!
YES OF COURSE I MADE SOME!♥
The two cakes released this month match the Dino theme~

So how does it taste???????
I thought it was really good, very interesting!!!
The “jelly” Dinos are chewy gummy candies and very fruity + sweet~ mixed in with a very creamy vanilla green apple combination. Each Dino color has a different fruit flavor which is really yummy when its all mixed together in the ice cream.

While ordering a scoop today I learned it is pretty much pronounced “Dee-no Jelly” here, not Dino like Dinosaur. Lol silly me :P
When I first read this would contain green apple I assumed it would be really tart or sour since that’s kinda a go-to sour flavor back at home, but nope! Nice and sugar sweet! The ice cream is all vanilla based~ no sherbert or flavor ribbons as well, so its interesting to eat a creamy apple flavor.

This is not a flavor I would crave non-stop since I am more of a chocolate ice cream fan, but it is super unique and worth a try at least once! Kids will L-O-V-E this flavor because its creamy, sweet, and the gummy dinosaur shapes are super tasty and fun!
Right now (while supplies last!) if you buy a Family Sized container of ice cream and pay an extra 1,000won you will get the Dino Party lego set as a gift! Our local shop had some still so we went ahead and grabbed one…we come every single day it seems, so might as well just buy a giant container of ice cream. No we did not buy $18 worth of ice cream to get a lego toy…. no we did not fight over who got to keep it…….. ok…. yeah we did ^^; eh heh.
You can read about that, the coloring book, and the paper craft kit in my next post!!

For the month of Feb you had a choice between these two special and very adorable Baskin Robbins Korea Lego playsets when you spent over $20!!
First choice was your own little Baskin Robbins shop! Note the “Shooting Star” flavor poster on the wall, that is a very iconic flavor here in Korea with this chain♥ Also, the little Lego girl has on one of the BR Korea Uniform Variations. So cute!
The other playset choice was a Baskin Robbins Truck!! This pink truck makes appearances around Korea for events or promos, so it was fun to see it in Lego form!

♥Update♥ I started seeing promotions for this new lego set early this month to tie in to the flavor “Dino Party” they will be launching soon I think. This one is crazy cute as well, isn’t it? I have yet to see one in a BR shop though.

Baskin Robbins here has little “spend this get that” type deals really randomly every month or so, but the inventory is super limited per store so some of them run out super fast!! I really wanted to get one of these… one of those pointless, but cute things for my shelf~ but by the time I was ready to spend $20 in BK and buy a bucket of ice cream the stock of toys was all gone D: Sometimes they only get maybe 10 or so per location, so yeah~ dont hesitate if you see a goodie you want! lol
April is a month of beautiful pastel colors for Easter! Although Korea does not really celebrate Easter like we do back in America, I was able to enjoy some pastel in my spring with its monthly flavor “Cotton Candy Wonderland ⥠ì´ìí ëë¼ì ìì¬í”
Normally I am not a big fan of cotton candy flavored anything except for cotton candy, its always just too sweet. When I saw the promos for this in April I was in love with the flavor visually because its so freaking cute, but when I read it was a cotton candy flavor I was sure I would hate it. Nara likes cotton candy flavored things a lot lately though, so he agreed to be my assistant with this tasting~ just in case I hated it I could just make him eat the rest, no sense in wasting a good scoop of ice cream! lol
When it finally launched we headed in to give it a try, as usual the new flavor was down to the last few scoops~ No matter what, new flavors at BR seem to always sell very well at first. I’m guessing people find it as fun to try them as we do! Anyway, the ice cream was a pretty pastel just like in the promo images~
The taste~~~ Interesting!! I have never had something like this before! It was a very smooth and creamy vanilla mousse with the flavoring of cotton candy mixed in~ the colors seemed to just be for show and did not have any flavor variation in them. It was not overly sweet, and nice and smooth~ I rather enjoyed it â¥Â What made it so special was what exactly they mixed into the flavor though.
The little pink things are actually an amazing combo of what tasted like crunch crisps + pop rock clusters mixed with strawberry chocolate!! Now that was unexpected!!

This is one of those flavors that totally intrigues me (like the Dino Jelly for March) and I found it a very fun experience. Even though I don’t particularly enjoy the cotton candy flavor in general, hands down this was the most awesome cotton candy ice cream anything I have ever nom nomed because it was subtle and so creamy~ Baskin Robbins Korea really tries some fun things with flavors here!
Apparently I was not the only one who loved the colors~ On the Korean Baskin Robbins blog they even made ice cream tarts out of it. Look how pretty it is! You can make these so easy too… just add some softened ice cream into a crust (pref cookie) and freeze. NOW I WANT TO MAKE A PRETTY BITTY PASTEL ICE CREAM PIE!
